Date & Sage Grilled Cheese

The best way to level up your grilled cheese.
Ingredients

2 slices of challah bread

2 Medjool dates, pitted and sliced in half

2 slices of Havarti cheese

¼ cup grated Greyère
-
Room temp salted butter
-
8-10 sage leaves (for the outside)
Directions
Open the halved dates and press onto one side of the bread. Cover the dates with the slices of Havarti, then grate over the Gruyère cheese.
Place the other piece of bread on top, then schmear the butter on the outside and stick the sage leaves to the butter. Place in a heated pan and cover with a lid.
On medium-low heat, cook the grilled cheese until golden and the cheese is starting to melt, then flip over. Should take around 3–4 minutes each side. Eat immediately.
