Ingredients

  • ¾ cup fresh lime juice - zest the limes first and set aside for rimming the cup
  • ¾ cup triple sec
  • 1 ½ cups tequila blanco
  • 2 tbsp agave or simple syrup (optional)

To Serve

  • Lime zest and kosher salt rim
  • Chunky ice
  • ½ lime

Directions

  1. Zest all the limes and then juice until you get ¾ cups of juice.

  2. Add the triple sec, tequila, lime juice, and simple syrp into a glass bottle. Give a good shake and place into the freezer.

  3. Store in the freezer until ready to serve. I like to place my margarita glasses into the freezer with the bottle so both get nice and chilled.

  4. When you're ready to serve, run a lime wedge around the rim of your glass and dip it into the lime zest and salt mixture. Pour over ice and enjoy!
