In a medium bowl, whisk together the Ap flour, baking soda, kosher salt, cinnamon, and clove and place to the side.
In another bowl add the melted butter, brown sugar and granulated sugar. Whisk together until light and airy. Add in the egg, vanilla extract, and pumpkin purée. Whisk until combined.
Add the dry ingredients into the wet in two stages and once it is all almost combined, add the chocolate chips and the pecans. Mix to combine and pour into the parchment lined cake pan. Place in the oven for 25-35 minutes until a knife comes out with a little crumb from the middle.
Cool and serve. Cream cheese frosting would be so good on this…just saying.
